Sources of Proteins: Egg white (albumen), lean meat, fish etc. Protein contains carbon, hydrogen, oxygen,nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulphur.



Importance of Proteins:

It is used for growth of young ones.

2. It is used for the repair of worn out tissues or cells.

3. It helps in reproduction.

4. Used for the production of hormone.

5. Used for tissues and cell formation (body building.)
